Consider this a Chicago reunion.
Joakim Noah and Derrick Rose were joined at Rose’s wedding on Thursday. As he had done throughout their respective NBA careers, Noah officiated the ceremony, which was an essential supporting role.
NBC Sports Chicago reported that Rose wed his longstanding girlfriend Alaina Anderson in a modest ceremony in Beverly Hills.
Anderson shared photographs of the couple’s family in an Instagram post titled “The Roses,” in remembrance of the occasion.
Some reports, as cited by NBC Sports, suggested that Rose and Anderson were previously wed in 2018, so it is not entirely certain whether the ceremony commemorated that day formally or was a legally binding remarriage.
Rose and Noah, who were teammates with the Bulls from 2008-16, have been each other’s wingmen at a previous wedding.
Rose assumed the role of the unofficial wedding photographer for Noah and Lais Ribeiro’s nuptials in Brazil in July 2022. Chandler Parsons and Taj Gibson were also in attendance. In 2021, at center court in Madison Square Garden, Rose presented Anderson with an enormous square-cut diamond ring as he proposed.
“MRS. Rose, my face is in pain.” Just got engaged to MSG; nothing significant!” Entrepreneurship in the fashion and fitness industries, Anderson wrote at the time in the caption of her Instagram post.Since at least 2016, Rose and Anderson have been a married couple; the couple has two children.
Upon the proposal, the seasoned NBA guard composed an emotional message to Anderson in a spirited post.”I will eternally cherish you due to your exceptional behavior.” “We forged an enduring bond and a lovely family,” Rose wrote, adding, “Queen, thank you.”
