When the Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis needed a break from basketball, he and Jalen Walker entered the ring for a bout of boxing.
On Saturday, Walker and Top Rank published a video from June 2023 that showed the undefeated boxer sparring with the Lakers big man.
Davis chuckled in his corner as he followed the somewhat smaller Walker around the ring, wearing the purple and gold of the Lakers along with a gray sweatshirt. Even though he had a far longer reach, Davis seemed to have trouble landing punches in the brief montage.While wearing his headgear, the 5-foot-8 Walker danced about the 6-foot-10 basketball star, refraining from throwing punches.
On April 13, Skywalker will square off against Alejandro Guerrero. From April 2021, when he defeated Angel Contreras, Walker has won four consecutive fights.With the exception of four games thus far this season, Davis has been a mainstay in the Lakers’ lineup.
At 55.5 percent from the field, the ex-first-round selection is averaging 24.4 points, 12.4 rebounds, and 3.7 assists. The Lakers are currently in ninth place in the Western Conference with a record of 38–32.While LeBron James tops the Lakers in scoring, assists, and steals, Davis tops the team in rebounds and blocks.
They will most likely participate in the Play-in Tournament in April and have 12 games remaining in the regular season. Golden State (in tenth place) and Sacramento (in eight place), both from California, are also in the play-in round.
