This Alternative Design of the Ford Mustang GT Will Make Your Chest Hair Grow Just From Looking at It

By launching a new-gen Mustang, Ford holds the upper ground against Chevrolet and Dodge as the Camaro and Challenger are about to bite the dust. Thus, the Blue Oval’s muscle car will soon remain the only one available in this class, at least for the immediate future.

Looking like an evolution of its predecessor, the S650 generation Ford Mustang is better in every aspect. It has more gear, a bit more power, and improved safety features. The lineup comprises coupe and convertible body styles, which can be specified with the EcoBoost four-banger or the naturally aspirated V8, in addition to the supercharged V8 powering the crazy GTD.

The latter mill is reserved for the GT and Dark Horse, whereas the former powers the least expensive versions. The most agile proposal brings 500 horsepower to the table, 20 hp more than the normal GT, and the EcoBoost enjoys 315 horsepower.

Like all muscle car enthusiasts out there, we cannot wait for Shelby to start rolling out the punchier derivative(s). One report suggests that the mighty Shelby GT500 might be due in 2025 as a 2026 model, and another one claims that it could expand the offering by also including an open-top option. Details surrounding the power are unknown, yet it will be punchier than its predecessor, which had 760 hp on tap from its supercharged 5.2L V8 and the ability to hit 60 mph (97 kph) in 3 seconds.

Now, while we’re babbling about the upcoming GT500, the regular GT version of the latest generation has paid a visit to the rendering garage. And it’s not just any visit comprising a few alterations here and there for a slightly more aggressive design, as it went down the route of its iconic predecessors from the ’60s and ’70s, hence the extreme design that Ford could learn a thing or two about.

Don’t get us wrong, we’re fans of the way the new-gen Mustang looks, but it obviously pales in comparison with the one depicted in these unofficial digital illustrations. The muscle car has a long hood, fat front fenders, broad shoulders, and large air intakes that contribute to its sexy styling in a very manly way. We could say it’s handsome, but it would be an understatement. It rides on new wheels that are on the large side and features a gold paint finish with black racing stripes.

By all means, we hope Ford’s designers see these renderings and get the green light to apply some styling traits from it to the next generation, which should be due early next decade. Or, why not to the upcoming Shelby GT500 to further set it apart from the Dark Horse and GT. We’re not the only ones who think the modern-day Mustang would look awesome dressed like this, are we?
