Hauser transitioned from being undrafted out of Virginia in 2021 to becoming a significant contributor for the Celtics. Last season, he started 13 of the 79 games in which he appeared and averaged a career-best 9.0 points.

Hauser ranked 11th in the NBA in terms of 3-point percentage with 42.4%. His career mark of 42.2% is the highest in Celtics history among players who have made at least 250 3-pointers.In a March 17 victory over Washington, the 6-foot-8 forward made 10 3-pointers in just under 23 minutes, the fewest minutes played in NBA history in a game with 10 or more 3-pointers.

The Celtics concluded their ten-day stay in Las Vegas with a 103-98 loss to the 76ers, and they concluded Summer League with a 2-3 record.

Drew Peterson, who had been absent for the previous two games, was reinstated in the starting lineup, along with Anton Watson, Baylor Scheierman, Killian Tillie, and Jordan Walsh. Tyler Cook, Jaelen House, and Tristan Enaruna made contributions from the bench.

Walsh emerged from a shooting slump to score his first three three-pointers of the evening, and he concluded the contest with 18 points on 7-14 shooting. Additionally, he recorded seven rebounds, two blocks, and two assists. However, he appeared to be hurried at times and ultimately committed six turnovers.

JD Davison, Neemias Queta, and Jaden Springer, who all participated in and performed exceptionally well in the previous Summer League, were absent from this one, which provided additional unsigned players with the opportunity to accumulate more playing time.

In their absence, Jaelen House added 17 points and 6 assists, providing a boost off the bench. The son of former Celtic and current NBC analyst Eddie House, House is a troublesome guard who went undrafted out of the University of New Mexico. He was introduced in the final two games of the Summer League and could be a fascinating addition to Maine.

The Celtics’ greatest +/- was achieved by Tyler Cook, who attended high school with Jayson Tatum and has been playing overseas for the past few years. Cook also contributed 16 points on 5-8 shooting.Anton Watson maintained his impressive Summer League campaign with a 15-point, 4-rebound, and 3-assist performance. D.J. MacLeay has already classified Watson as an NBA-level defender, and as the Sumer League advanced, Watson appeared to become more at ease on the offensive end.

After the game, Watson informed CelticsBlog that discussions regarding his two-way were possibly imminent.

Watson stated, “I do believe we will resolve that matter this week.” “Those conversations are undoubtedly forthcoming.”

After the first quarter, the Celtics maintained a 33-30 lead, which was further extended to 52-49 at the intermission. However, they were outscored 34-21 in the third quarter and were facing a 10-point deficit as the final period commenced.

Baylor Scheierman, who scored eight fourth-quarter points, spearheaded a late surge that resulted in a one-possession game. However, in the final minute, Scheierman and Walsh both missed prospective three-point attempts that could have tied the game.
